About Me
I was born and raised on California's beautiful Central coast, and though I took music classes in elementary and high school, I didn't really find my musical voice until much later on in life. I always knew I had a pleasant-sounding voice, but it wasn't until the early 1990's that I started playing guitar and singing.

I started out with campfire tunes with my friends. Every six weeks or so we'd go out to some of the remote camping areas in Santa Barbara County, and we'd bring our guitars and other musical instruments. We'd play and sing until late into the night and I still have memories from those times that I cherish.

In 1998, I was asked to lead services for Temple Beth El in Santa Maria, CA, and since then I have regularly served as the ba'al t'filah (lay leader) for several local Jewish congregations, including the Santa Ynez Valley Jewish Community in Solvang, CA, Temple Beth El in Santa Maria, CA and the Vandenberg-Lompoc Jewish Congregation on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

In 2003, I started taking my singing more seriously and started voice lessons with my current vocal coach, Brian Cole. I have come a long way since I started working with him, and Brian made me realize that I have a tremendous gift I can share with others.

In early 2005, I began piano lessons with another talented instructor, Wayne Hart. With Wayne, I am taking my musical talents and abilities to another level, and I appreciate all the guidance he has given me so far.

Currently, I serve as the part-time Cantorial Soloist for the Santa Ynez Valley Jewish Community for regular Shabbat, Festival and High Holy Day services. If you would like more information about the location and times of SYVJC services, please visit the SYVJC Web site.

I also volunteer my voice and musical talents to local non-profit organizations, including the Lompoc and Solvang offices of Valley Haven, and the Lompoc Convalescent Center. I sing once a month at each location, where I entertain seniors with a variety of music that ranges from old familiar standards to pieces of my own composition.

I am currently investigating schools of Sacred Music, with an aim to pursuing Cantorial investiture.
